Emergency personnel was called to Wootton High School at approximately 10:50am Monday morning for an unresponsive student in a classroom. According to an email sent home by principal Douglas Nelson, Wootton staff provided aid and emergency response team was called to the school. The student transported to the hospital. MCPS has just a pulled a $198 million permit toward the construction of the new Northwood High School at 919 University Blvd in Silver Spring (the same site the school is currently on), according to a recent Maryland Newsletters report.
