Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) has announced that Bells Mill Elementary School and Woodfield Elementary School have been recognized as 2024 National Blue Ribbon Schools by the U.S. Department of Education. “This prestigious honor marks the 44th and 45th MCPS schools to receive this distinction.”

Montgomery County Public Schools recently announced that the digital monitoring system teachers use to see student computer use has been changed from GoGuardian to Lightspeed.

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is considering a possible 10-day winter break for the 2025-2026 school year, as outlined in one of two draft calendars presented on Tuesday during a meeting of the Board of Education’s policy management committee by Dana Edwards and Catherine Malchodi (photos of both drafts below).
