The Montgomery County Board of Education approved the appointments of three new school principals during its meeting on Thursday, May 21.
The Montgomery County Public Schools Educational Foundation awarded nearly $2.5 million in scholarships and awards to students across Montgomery County during its annual Evening of Excellence celebration held May 20.

On Monday, Governor Wes Moore announced $56.8 million in new energy efficiency grants that will fund 127 projects across Maryland, including upgrades at schools, government buildings, nonprofits, and residential properties. The grants, administered through the Maryland Energy Administration, are intended to lower energy costs, modernize infrastructure, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions statewide. (more…)
