Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a fire that has led to the evacuation of an apartment building in Montgomery Village on Tuesday night.
In 1952, Clarence Kettler founded Kettler Brothers, Incorporated, alongside his two brothers, Milton and Charles. With a vision of creating a unique community, the Kettler brothers went on to develop Montgomery Village. Lake Whetstone, one of MV’s most iconic landmarks, first opened for boating and fishing in September 1967 (photos available below).
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating the April 26 homicide of 20-year-old Henry Krishawn Gilbert of Clarksburg, who was found shot inside a vehicle that had crashed into a townhouse on Brookridge Court in Montgomery Village. The incident was initially reported as a collision before being ruled a homicide. (more…)
