Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 6th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help in locating 22-year-old Alexis Cabrera, who has been reported missing.

According to officials, 6th District officers were dispatched at approximately 6:19pm to the 18700 block of North Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg for the report of a stabbing.

Sheetz will offer a free meal and car wash to veterans and active-duty military personnel on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at all of its more than 800 locations. Eligible participants can receive a free half turkey sub, regular fountain drink, and a $9 car wash (where available) with military ID or proof of service, while customers are also encouraged to donate loyalty points to the USO through the Sheetz app during November. Lakeforest Mall officially closed on March 31, 2023, after nearly 45 years in Gaithersburg, and now longtime residents have a chance to bring home a piece of its history. The mall’s outdoor signs are currently up for auction through Capital Online Auctions, with local pickup required. The listing encourages bidders to “own a piece of Gaithersburg history,” noting that multiple outdoor Lakeforest signs are being liquidated.
