A decades-old television prank involving Maryland resident Pat Sajak is going viral again online, nearly 18 years after it first aired. During an April 1, 2008 episode of Wheel of Fortune, Sajak addressed long-running viewer speculation that he wore a hairpiece. At the start of the show, he told the audience he had a secret to reveal and asked longtime co-host Vanna White to help him “unveil” it (video below).
Temperatures are expected to trend warmer as the week progresses, but just how warm remains uncertain. While the high end of the forecast range could push highs toward 80° this coming weekend, it is also possible that temperatures only reach the 60s. An 80° day before we spring forward would certainly feel fitting.
The National Weather Service has released some snow totals from trained spotters across the DMV at various times Monday afternoon/evening. Not every community has an available measurement, and the timing of each report can lead to differences in what you’re seeing at home. Snowfall Monday was largely as expected, with up to an inch accumulating mainly on grassy areas. Roads remained mostly just wet, with minimal travel impact through the afternoon and evening. The focus now shifts to freezing rain overnight as temperatures hover near freezing.
