On Tuesday, Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown joined a coalition of 22 attorneys general in filing a lawsuit to block a new Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policy that pauses federal assistance funding to states, arguing it could disrupt essential services such as healthcare, education, and disaster relief. Yesterday we reported that Montgomery County’s last remaining Jerry’s Subs & Pizza (8517 Colesville Rd. Silver Spring, MD) will close permanently on Friday, January 31st, based on two phone call conversations with the store. Today, several readers have shared they tried making one last trip and the restaurant was already closed. One reader stated he spoke with employees who were inside and was told the restaurant closed earlier than expected. Phone calls made to Jerry’s were not answered Tuesday afternoon.
