A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for parts of Maryland (including NW Montgomery County) and Northern Virginia from 3pm Sunday through 10am Monday. The warning includes Frederick County and Northwest Montgomery County in Maryland, along with Eastern and Western Loudoun counties in Virginia.

Heavy snow is expected in the warning area, with general accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. Higher elevations above 1,000 feet could see significantly higher totals, ranging from 6 to 12 inches. Winds may gust as high as 35 mph, which could lead to blowing snow and reduced visibility at times.


The FBI Baltimore Field Office, Montgomery County Police Department, and Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office announced the results of a joint investigation targeting large-scale fraud schemes involving government impersonation and tech support scams that victimized Maryland residents and hundreds of people nationwide.
