While there are more than just two great places to grab a steak in Montgomery County, Silver Spring and Bethesda both scored big on Eater DC’s latest roundup of standout steakhouses in the Washington region. In the publication’s updated 17 Best Steakhouses Around D.C. guide, J. Hollinger’s Waterman’s Chophouse in Silver Spring and Medium Rare’s Bethesda location were highlighted as must-try destinations for steak lovers. Charley Prime was removed from the list as it made the transition to Charley: A Chesapeake Chophouse and Bar.

Update: It was gone by the next run of the models💨 

After a storm that delivered up to five inches of snow in parts of upper Montgomery County, including Damascus, while areas closer to Washington, DC picked up less than an inch, the region has already gotten an early taste of winter weather. That’s notable considering the calendar still technically says it’s fall.


Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced that his office is leading a coalition of 22 state law enforcement agencies joining an FTC lawsuit accusing Uber of using deceptive and unfair practices in promoting and selling its Uber One subscription service.
