Montgomery County has sent out the following alert: “Due to icy conditions, both directions of Frederick Rd (MD 355) are blocked between Shady Grove Rd and Ridgemont Ave. Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.”

The winter weather has caused slush to accumulate with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) warning of wet and slick spots on the road even into the late morning hours.
