Montgomery County Police tweeted the following at 6:09pm on Saturday, November 4: “MCPD is responding to a shooting call in the 11200 block of New Hampshire Ave. More information will be released as it becomes available.”

According to public safety reporter Cordell Pugh, two victims were shot during a fight near the White Oak Shopping Center around 5:50pm. Montgomery County Police 3D Officers aided both victims prior to EMS arrival. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available.


Per MCPD: “Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Patrol Investigative Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for multiple theft from autos that occurred on Sunday, September 24, 2023, in the 2800 block of Atlanta Drive in Silver Spring.

The investigation has revealed that the suspect entered multiple vehicles parked in the area, stole property from those vehicles and left the scene. Detectives reviewed surveillance cameras and obtained images of the suspect checking door handles in the area.   The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray pants and white shoes. He was carrying a gray backpack.


Per MCPD: “Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Silver Spring Investigative Section are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Dave & Buster’s in the 8600 block of Colesville Road. Detectives have released surveillance video of the suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.

The investigation by detectives has revealed that on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at approximately 8 p.m., the victims were in the restroom at Dave & Buster’s when they were approached by three male suspects who demanded the victim’s property. When the victims failed to comply with the suspects’ demands, the suspects began to physically assault them, stole their property and then ran out of the restroom. The suspects were observed on video surveillance leaving the business with a female.


Per MCPD: “The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is investigating fatal collision that occurred on Saturday, October 28, 2023, near the intersection of Old Columbia Pike and Dustin Road. Detectives have been unable to locate any of the decedent’s family and are asking for the public’s assistance to find possible family members.

At approximately 12:15 p.m., Montgomery County Fire Rescue and MCPD responded to the area for the report of a single vehicle collision.  The preliminary investigation by CRU detectives has revealed that a blue 2009 Hyundai Elantra, driven by 73-year-old Robert Hugh Haas, of Windsor Mill, was traveling northbound on Old Columbia Pike when, for unknown reasons, the Haas failed to negotiate the traffic circle at Dustin Road and struck a retaining wall.


Per Montgomery County: “Yesterday, the Montgomery County Council’s Public Safety (PS) Committee held a meeting on juvenile justice, sparked by an increase in some types of juvenile crimes and the identification of a 12-year-old as responsible for multiple bomb threats to Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS).

All panelists present suggested that connecting youth to appropriate services and interventions as early as possible should be the primary goal. Yet Councilmember Kristin Mink’s (District 5) questions to police, the State’s Attorney, and the Department of Juvenile Services (DJS) revealed that diversion opportunities, both pre-arrest and post-arrest, have been significantly under-utilized in Montgomery County.


Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Isabella Faith Cardillo, a missing 12-year-old from Germantown. Cardilloesd last seen on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at approximately 11:50 a.m., in the 15000 block of Broschart Road in Rockville. She is 4-feet, 10-inches tall, 107 Ibs., with red hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing glasses, a red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Isabella Faith Cardillo is asked to call Montgomery County Police Non-Emergency (301) 279-8000 (24-hour line).


According to Montgomery County Police, “On Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at approximately 11:05 a.m., MCP officers responded to the Wells Fargo Bank in the 9800 block of Falls Rd. for the report of an armed bank robbery. The preliminary investigation has revealed that an armed suspect entered the bank, stole an undisclosed amount of money and left the scene. This is an active and ongoing investigation.”

Montgomery County Police are investigating a single-vehicle fatal collision that occurred Saturday afternoon. According to police,  “At approximately 12:15 p.m., on Saturday, October 28, 2023, Montgomery County Fire Rescue and MCPD responded to the intersection of Old Columbia Pike and Dustin Road for the report of a single vehicle collision.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that a blue, 2008 Hyundai Elantra was traveling northbound on Old Columbia Pike, near Dustin Road when, for unknown reasons, the driver struck a retaining wall. The driverofthe Hyundai, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Montgomery County DepartmentofPolice – Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the collision.”


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section have identified a 15-year-old as the individual responsible for making the bomb threat against Paint Branch High School on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

At approximately 10:36 am, 3rd District officers, K-9 units, and Community Engagement Officers responded to the location for the report of a bomb threat that was made over the phone.
