Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division have arrested and charged 43-year-old Devin Byron Dorsey, of unknown address, with the Rockville armed robbery that occurred on Monday, October 2, 2023, after an anonymous tipster came forward and identified Dorsey based on a photograph posted on a MCPD news release. The tipster is now eligible for a reward of up to $10,000.

On Thursday, October 5, 2023, detectives obtained an arrest warrant against Dorsey, charging him with armed robbery, robbery, second-degree assault and theft less than $100.   On Saturday, October 14, 2023, Dorsey was arrested in Germantown and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.


The Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Hassan Bangura, a missing 15-year-old from Burtonsville. Bangura was last seen on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at approximately 7 a.m., in the 14000 block of Castle Blvd. in Burtonsville. He is 5’4″, 120 lbs., with brown eyes, brown hair that is currently styled in short twists, and was last seen wearing black pants, black sneakers, and a black jacket.

Montgomery County Police responded to a report of shots fired Thursday afternoon in Silver Spring. According to police, “The call was received at approximately 4:24 p.m.  3rd District officers responded to the area of Quebec Ter. and Ruatan St. for the report of shots fired.  No victims were located, but officers did find evidence of a shooting.  No suspects are in custody at this time.”

Detectives from the MCPD- 3rd District Investigative Section is asking for the public’s Assistance in locating Heidy Hernandez-Escobar, a missing 24-year-old. Escobar was last seen on Friday, October 6, 2023, in the 3100 block of Heilson Dr., in Silver Spring. She is 5’5″, 120 Ibs., with brown eyes, black hair, and has a tattoo on her left hand.

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for a theft and fraudulent credit card use in Bethesda.  On Saturday, September 16, 2023, at approximately 1:40 p.m., the victim was at a CAVA restaurant in the 4800 block of Bethesda Avenue when an unknown suspect stole his black Lulu Fanny Pack, containing personal property and credit cards, from the back of his chair.

Moments after the victim discovered his bag had been stolen, he received a notification that his credit card had been used at a Target in the 6800 block of Wisconsin Avenue.  Detectives obtained surveillance video of the suspect. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 40 to 50-years-old with a salt and pepper beard. He was wearing a black Nike baseball hat, a gray Nike long sleeve zippered sweatshirt and black Nike sweatpants.


The Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Tavion V Page, a missing 16-year-old.   Page was last seen on Friday, October 20, 2023, in the 1900 block of Amberstone Ct. in Silver Spring. He is 6′, 115 Ibs, with brown eyes and black hair.

The Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Xavier Munox-Dasilva, a missing 12-year-old. Munoz-Dasilva was last seen at midnight, on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in the 8000 block of 13th St. in Silver Spring. He is 5’2″, 90 lbs, with black hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing all black clothing.

The Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Kelly Nana Acquah, a missing 14-year-old. Acquah was last seen on Monday, October 23, 2023, at approximately 7:20 a.m., in the 14000 block of Castle Blvd. in Silver Spring. He is 5’9, 130 lbs, with brown hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black jacket with a blue design on the back, black jeans and black shoes.

Concern for Missing Fourteen-Year-Old


Police are currently on the scene of a shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Gaithersburg. According to public safety reporter Cordell Pugh, the shooting occurred at Stewartown Local Park on Goshen Rd. The victim was found shot at least twice near the park pavilion. Montgomery County 6th District Officers aided the victim prior to EMS arrival. Park Police are handling the investigation.

Update: Chimereze Onuzulike has been found safe and unharmed. 

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Chimereze Onuzulike, a missing 14-year-old from Silver Spring. Onuzulike was last seen on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at approximately 12 p.m., in the 8800 block of Flower Avenue in Silver Spring. He is 5’8, 140 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.


1:58 Update: Springbrook High School has been cleared. Students, teachers and staff are returning to school.

According to police, “Springbrook High School is evacuating, following the report of a bomb threat. MCPD is investigating the validity of the threat. More information will be released as it becomes available.” This is the second high school that has evacuated today (Wednesday, October 25th), as Albert Einstein High School in Kensington evacuated this morning and was given clearance to return a couple hours later.
