According to Maryland Lottery and Gaming, Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $173,924,516 in revenue from slot machines and table games during August 2024, an increase of $12,525,826 (7.8%) compared to August 2023. It was the ninth-best single-month total in the history of Maryland’s casino program, which launched in September 2010. Casino gaming contributions to the state during August 2024 totaled $73,658,443, an increase of $5,533,168 (8.1%) compared to August 2023. According to Maryland Lottery & Gaming, Maryland’s sports wagering market generated $5,728,503 in contributions to the state from a handle of $384,687,982 during June 2024. Sports wagering contributions go to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund, which supports public education programs.

Casino gaming contributions to the state during June 2024 totaled $69,842,695, an increase of $412,462 (0.6%) compared to June 2023.
