Montgomery County Council committees are scheduled to meet on Thursday, February 5, to review several budget, economic, and policy issues, including a briefing on trends in utility rates and their impact on local households. The Government Operations and Fiscal Policy Committee will consider spending affordability guidelines for the FY27 budget and a bill related to employee retirement administration, while the Economic Development Committee will review the designation of WorkSource Montgomery and receive an update on 2025 economic indicators.
