County Executive Marc Elrich Responds to Passage of the FY25 Budget by the County Council

Per Montgomery County: County Executive Marc Elrich responded to the passage of the FY25 Operating and Capital Budgets by the County Council. Nearly 100 percent of the County Executive’s recommended operating budget was adopted. This $7.1 billion operating budget provided MCPS with its second-highest funding increase in history and made historic investments in providing more affordable housing, improving public safety, tackling climate change and ensuring equity. County Council Reappoints Shawn Bartley to Montgomery County Planning Board

The Montgomery County Council unanimously voted to reappoint Shawn Bartley to the Montgomery County Planning Board at its May 21 meeting. Bartley, who was first appointed in March 2023 to complete the unexpired term of Commissioner Gerald Cichy, will now serve a second four-year term on the Planning Board and as a M-NCPPC Commissioner.
