Department of Housing and Community Affairs and Housing Opportunities Commission Launch Nonprofit Fund to Preserve Affordable Housing

Montgomery County, alongside the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC), has announced the launch of the Nonprofit Preservation Fund (NPF), aimed at safeguarding affordable housing. According to the county, “The NPF will be funded with $50 million by Fiscal Year 2025 to provide low-interest interim loans to support nonprofit developers and HOC in acquiring and preserving naturally occurring affordable housing (NOAH).”
