On Friday morning at 10:59 a.m., officers responded to Wells Fargo Bank at 750 Walker Road in Great Falls, VA for an armed bank robbery. The suspect entered the bank, displayed a firearm and demanded money. The suspect took cash and left in a vehicle prior to officers’ arrival, per Fairfax County Police.
The Rockville City Police Department has posted on social media warning the public of a scam that involves individuals impersonating officers requesting money or payments over the phone, or instruct an individual to pay police to avoid arrest.
Mary Trammell has been the longtime owner of the 7-Eleven convenience store at 2 University Blvd W in Four Corners (Silver Spring). She is retiring and preparing to move out of state, but Montgomery County Police officers wanted to honor her before she left.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) responded to the 4100 block of Garrett Park Rd. in Silver Spring for the sound of shots at approximately 5:30pm on Saturday evening. Police tell us that upon arrival officers observed a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed and spoke to multiple witnesses who observed a male shooting a firearm into the woods.
