Montgomery County’s 2025 rent stabilization rent increase allowance will be 5.7%, effective July 1, which is lower than the 2024 allowance of 6%. The Rent Stabilization law, which applies to most rental units built in 2002 or earlier, adjusts rent increases annually based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) and also regulates certain fees, with the 2025 Voluntary Rent Guideline set at 3.3%.

Keanu Carver has made a significant impact on WWE’s Evolve series. Born Kevin Isaiah Robertson, he hails from Montgomery County, having been born in Silver Spring and raised in Takoma Park. A graduate of Montgomery Blair High School, Carver played college football as a defensive tackle for the Temple Owls from 2019 to 2021.

Montgomery County Council will meet on March 25 to continue reviewing the Fiscal Year 2026 Capital Budget and amendments to the Fiscal Year 2025-2030 Capital Improvements Program. The meeting will also include proclamations recognizing Mom and Pop Small Business Day and Equal Pay Day, as well as discussions on funding adjustments for public safety, stormwater management, recycling, and Montgomery County Public Schools projects. Throughout history, there have been battles that seem to have no victor. For me, the ongoing struggle to be the “Most Fun Parent” (MFP) is a Herculean task. Recently, with my wife out of town for a few days, I saw this as my best opportunity to earn that MFP trophy. I decided to take my two daughters, Ellie and Natalie, on a culinary adventure to various fun restaurants across Montgomery County.

Residents in the area have seen Pepco bills increase, and the company is offering energy-saving tips to help customers reduce costs ahead of the summer, including thermostat adjustments, AC maintenance, and home insulation improvements.
