On Wednesday, Montgomery County announced it is committing $1.2 million to its FY25 Nonprofit Security Grant program to help protect nonprofit and faith-based organizations at risk of hate crimes. Eligible organizations can apply for up to $15,000 per facility to enhance security measures, with applications due by October 18, 2024.
According to the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (OEMHS), “A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for a portion of Montgomery County for Thursday, 09/26 until 10:45 am. Flash flooding of streams, creeks and low lying areas is occurring or imminent. Do not drive through flooded areas.”
The Montgomery County Department of Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred on the evening of Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
