Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich announced a new online portal and hotline for residents to report hate-bias incidents, aiming to improve tracking and response to non-criminal acts of hate, including harassment, graffiti, and intimidation.

In the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD, Judge Harry Storm sentenced defendant, Jovan Ali, 45, of Fairfax, VA, to seven years in prison after he was convicted on one count of second-degree assault for an incident on April 17, 2024, when he stabbed a man. The incident was caught on video captured by a Montgomery County Police drone.
