With the Department of Justice suing Ticketmaster’s parent company, Live Nation, for “monopolizing markets across the live concert industry,” I wanted to take a look back at where I used to buy my tickets here in Montgomery County.
Per Montgomery County: County Executive Marc Elrich responded to the passage of the FY25 Operating and Capital Budgets by the County Council. Nearly 100 percent of the County Executive’s recommended operating budget was adopted. This $7.1 billion operating budget provided MCPS with its second-highest funding increase in history and made historic investments in providing more affordable housing, improving public safety, tackling climate change and ensuring equity. Montgomery County Board of Education President Karla Silvestre and Dr. Monique Felder, Interim Superintendent of Montgomery County Public Schools have released the following statement regarding the FY 2025 operating budget:
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Division are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, May 12, 2024, in the area of Georgia Ave. and Connecticut Ave. Detectives have released surveillance video of the suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.
