Montgomery County has set the Voluntary Rent Guideline (VGR) at 2.6%. The VGR is used to encourage landlords to voluntarily limit rent increases in the county and is based on the rental component of the Consumer Price Index for the Washington-Metropolitan Area.
The Montgomery County Commission for Women and Montgomery Women will host a free virtual fair for middle and high school female students from 7-8:30pm on Thursday, March 21. (more…)

Montgomery County has announced a new $1.5 million grant opportunity to help low and moderate-income residents prepare their homes for the effects of climate change.
Mary Trammell has been the longtime owner of the 7-Eleven convenience store at 2 University Blvd W in Four Corners (Silver Spring). She is retiring and preparing to move out of state, but Montgomery County Police officers wanted to honor her before she left.
