Montgomery County Government will open Monday, February 23, with optional unscheduled or liberal leave for non-essential employees, while residents are advised to check ahead for possible weather-related closures. Montgomery County Public Schools will be closed, recreation and senior programs will be limited or canceled, recycling and trash collection will proceed as scheduled, and the County’s 311 call center will operate regular hours. Montgomery County’s Chief Administrative Officer Richard Madaleno shared a parking advisory Saturday night as snow is expected to fall from Sunday into Monday, with a Winter Storm Warning in effect for roughly half of the county and a Winter Weather Advisory for the remaining areas.

A legendary chapter of Maryland high school football is being brought to life in a new book written by former Seneca Valley High School athletic director Ray Sacramo and longtime head coach Terry Changuris. The project chronicles the rich history of Seneca Valley football and the foundation of a program that became one of the most successful in the state.
