County Executive Marc Elrich condemned the anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian graffiti that was discovered Friday at Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, calling it an act of hate that does not reflect Montgomery County’s values and reaffirming support for affected communities.

Montgomery County Councilmember Laurie-Anne Sayles introduced a $1 million one-time special appropriation, co-sponsored by Council President Natali Fani-González and other councilmembers, to help stabilize senior nutrition, homecare, and respite care programs impacted by federal funding cuts.
