The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation has named 10 Montgomery College students among 467 semifinalists nationwide for its Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, selected from over 1,600 applicants across 212 community colleges. The scholarship provides financial aid, academic advising, and career support to high-achieving community college students with financial need as they transfer to four-year institutions.
Three Montgomery College students, Taian Chen, Olatomiwa Ogunkoya, and Eman Saqib have been recognized for their academic excellence and leadership through prestigious scholarships awarded by the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society.
We have recently received inquiries about the canceled appearance by Henry Winkler at Montgomery College’s Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center, located at 51 Mannakee St., Rockville. We would like to remind everyone that this event was canceled last month. Originally scheduled for October 29, 2024, the event was later rescheduled to March 11, 2025, before being canceled indefinitely.
The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will host a free Landscaping with Batteries Field Day on March 12 at Montgomery College Germantown, featuring equipment demonstrations, vendor discounts, and raffles.
Montgomery College has named Bernadette Maldonado as its new vice president for Development and Alumni Relations and executive director of the Montgomery College Foundation.
