The FBI and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) on July 1 announced the selection of the Ronald Reagan Building complex in Washington, D.C., as the new location for FBI Headquarters. This marks a significant change from previous plans, which under the Biden administration had selected a site in Greenbelt, Maryland, for a new purpose-built suburban campus.

Planet Fitness is launching its High School Summer Pass program, available from June 1 through August 31. Route 50, stretching from West Sacramento to Maryland’s Ocean City, carries more than just travelers– it carries a unique piece of highway history. Sometime between the late 1970s to early 1980s, Ocean City officials installed a sign marking the eastern termination of US 50, proudly displaying the distance to Sacramento (3,073 miles) as a nod to the highway’s distant beginning on the West Coast.

Nearly 20 years after closing the last CHI-CHI’S™ restaurant location, the popular Mexican restaurant chain is set to make a comeback thanks to a new agreement with Hormel Foods, owner of CHI-CHI’S™ trademarks. The deal grants Michael McDermott, son of CHI-CHI’S™ founder, use of the CHI-CHI’S™ name on physical restaurant locations which are expected to open in 2025. Locations for the upcoming restaurants have not been revealed, but the nationwide chain previously had two local restaurants right here in Montgomery County.
