Montgomery County has seen multiple accidents across the region this morning as light snow and very cold temperatures created hazardous travel conditions. MCFRS is warning drivers that the combination of snow and frigid pavement temperatures is making roads slick and icy, stating: “ATTENTION: SOME SNOW & VERY COLD TEMPERATURES WILL RESULT IN TREACHEROUS TRAVEL FOR THE FRIDAY MORNING COMMUTE… the combo of light snow and very cold temps may result in treacherous travel Friday morning. The morning commute may be impacted, with slick and icy roads and sidewalks expected.” Officials urge drivers to slow down, allow extra travel time, and use extreme caution.
