Virginia’s first Buc-ee’s will open next month in Rockingham County, VA (Mount Crawford). The store will be located at the exit 240 interchange along Interstate 81 (located near Harrisonburg, VA)- over 125 miles and about two hours from most parts of Montgomery County. We’ve previously reported that the Texas-based company has been aiming for a June 30th opening and now FOX Business reports that the store will hold a grand opening on that date.
The Montgomery County Council unanimously approved a $7.6 billion Fiscal Year 2026 Operating Budget and a $6 billion amended FY25–30 Capital Improvements Program. The budget maintains tax rates while prioritizing education, public safety, social services, housing, and transportation, and includes funding increases for Montgomery County Public Schools, Ride On bus service, and health and human services, with both plans set to take effect July 1.
