Leon Harris issued a statement on Tuesday announcing his decision to step away from his role at NBC4 to prioritize his health and family after more than 40 years in the news industry. On Saturday night, Dimitri Sotis was found unresponsive in his home in Alexandria, Virginia. Since joining WTOP in 1999, Sotis was the evening anchor for the radio station. He was 55 years old.
