Update: Angelina Blaize has been located safe and unharmed.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s assistance in location Angelina Blaize, a missing 15-year-old from Olney.
Sisters Sandwiches & Such, known for its Olney location at 16834 Georgia Ave. that was started by Kim Carlson and Tammy Prestipino back in 2010, will be opening its third location this fall in Bethesda.
A 23-year-old man pleaded guilty to first-degree murder on Thursday for the death of Rosa Sanchez Merino, whose remains were found in a shallow grave last September in Olney.
On Wednesday, Pho & Grill announced that its location at 18153 Village Mart Dr in Olney was burglarized overnight between Monday, July 22 and Tuesday morning, July 23. The full message can be seen below:

We have received several witness reports of a driver crashing through a walkway and into a building on Georgia Avenue in Olney near the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Morningwood Drive on Friday night.
Twenty woman-owned restaurants and other food-related retail ventures in the Washington, DC and Los Angeles areas, learned today that they will receive $5,000 grants, and potentially even more valuable mentoring and training from leaders in the industry, to help their businesses thrive. WSSC is currently at the scene of a large water main break in Olney that has left some residents without water on Thursday, July 18. A News helicopter was also flying over the area Thursday morning because of the water main break.
Lone Oak Farm Brewing Company is teaming up with Special Olympics Maryland to host the Pint Size Polar Bear Plunge on Saturday, July 20th from 12:00 to 5:00 pm as a 6-month kickoff to the 2025 MSP Polar Bear Plunge. The event raised $36,000 for Special Olympics Maryland last year.
