The City of Rockville has announced its participation in several local events for the Juneteenth holiday.

MASTIHA Bakery at 2387 Lewis Ave. in Rockville has closed. MASTIHA opened its Rockville location in April 2023 after relocating from 10560 Metropolitan Ave. in Kensington, where it was formerly known as Baklava Couture.

Planet Fitness, known for its $10 basic gym membership, has announced it will be increasing the price to $15 a month for new members. Members with existing $10 memberships will see no change. The $10 membership rate has been in effect since 1998.

Coming soon signage is up for Yummy Bowl Mongolian Stir-fry and Sushi at 2010 Veirs Mill Rd in Rockville. The restaurant will be located in the space previously occupied by Bamboo Buffet in the Twinbrook Center.
