Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville has been named one of America’s Best Maternity Hospitals for 2026 by Newsweek, making it the only hospital in Montgomery County and one of just 10 hospitals in Maryland to receive the recognition.
A new destination for wing lovers is coming to Rockville. Wing Pop, a new concept from the Ivea Group, is under construction at 1701 Rockville Pike in the Shops at Congressional Village shopping center. The restaurant will take over the former Gyroland space, next to Okaeri and Meow Claw.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) crews responded to a working townhouse fire on Copperstone Court, off of Ritchie Pkwy, in Rockville that prompted a second alarm response after flames spread through the roof of an end-unit home.
