The original “viral Dubai chocolate bar” was created by Fix Dessert Chocolatier, a UAE-based brand founded by Sarah Hamouda in 2021. The original bar, named “Can’t Get Knafeh of It” is a milk chocolate bar filled with pistachio cream and kataifi, and various versions of it are selling online for as much as $40 per bar– our very own @MrMoCo301 found a local version and gave it a try (video below).
Bojangles is officially back in Maryland with its Frederick store opening today at 1312 W. Patrick St. Frederick, MD. Hours of operation are 6am-10pm every day of the week.

Buffalo Wild Wings introduced its first ‘Buffalo Wild Wings GO’ location, a scaled-down version of the restaurant that focuses on the to-go and delivery format, in Georgia back in 2020. Now, the company has signed on for its second location in the county (possibly first, depending on which one opens first).
Don Jorge’s Restaurant, located at 108 E Diamond Ave. in Olde Towne Gaithersburg, has closed permanently at its current location.
Jiang Court Asian Cuisine is now open at 18200 Georgia Avenue in Olney. The restaurant opened in August. (more…)
Back in March 2023 we let you know that the 100-year old building that is home to the Olney Ale House was sold to Two Sibs LLC, led by Selim Kantar, for $1.45 million. As construction progresses, the ale house will have its meeting with Montgomery County’s Alcoholic Beverage Services (ABS) for a liquor license on Thursday, September 19th at 9:30am.
Update: LL Flooring signed a last minute agreement with F9 Investments for a going-concern sale of its business as part of its Chapter 11 process. The asset purchase agreement includes the acquisition of 219 stores, inventory, intellectual property, and other assets. The transaction is expected to close by the end of September, subject to Bankruptcy Court approval. The company will continue to operate normally, serving customers with a broad range of flooring products both online and in stores. LL Flooring is also proceeding with previously announced store closings at 211 locations.
“Closing sales are continuing at 211 store locations, including the recently initiated 117 store closings and the 94 store closings already in process that had been previously announced on August 11, 2014. Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza has closed permanently after nearly five years at 7776 Norfolk Ave in Bethesda.
Moe’s Southwest Grill at 19222 Montgomery Village Ave in the Montgomery Village Center has been closed the past week. Despite being listed as “open” on Moes.com and Google, a representative from Moe’s told us, “Our records indicate that this location is currently closed.” The restaurant originally opened in February 2022.
