The highly acclaimed No Regrets Pizza has officially signed a lease to expand its operations at its current location within Harwood Flats. The pizzeria, which opened in May 2024, will be taking over the vacant space directly behind their existing establishment, paving the way for some exciting improvements to enhance the customer experience.
Bao Bei, the popular Taiwanese street food concept, is gearing up for the grand opening of its first brick-and-mortar restaurant on Wednesday, August 27th. This exciting news comes after the closure of its successful ghost kitchen at 11910 Parklawn Drive on August 1st, which served the community for three years.
Back in January we let you know that bartaco signed on to open its first Maryland location at 11886 Grand Park Ave. in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose. The restaurant has received a permit valued at $1.12 million and has started to work on renovating the space, according to Maryland Newsletters. In April, Biz Journals reported that Unibal-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) had defaulted on a roughly $235 million securitized loan tied to Westfield Wheaton, the largest mall in suburban Maryland (DC Region) and the fourth largest in the Greater Washington area. Donatos Pizza is set for a significant expansion in the Mid-Atlantic, with plans to open more than 20 traditional and non-traditional locations across the Maryland and Virginia region over the next 2-3 years, according to QSR Magazine.

Cinnaholic, the popular gourmet vegan cinnamon roll bakery, has closed its only Montgomery County location. The shop, located at 230 Crown Park Avenue in Gaithersburg’s Downtown Crown neighborhood, is listed as permanently closed on Google and no longer included on the Cinnaholic website.
Takumi Japanese Bistro and Bar is currently holding a soft opening for its new location at 4929 Bethesda Avenue. The restaurant occupies a space with a rich history of Asian-inspired dining, previously home to Wang Dynasty and, for 15 years before that, the beloved Shanghai Village.
