The Backyard BOB, a mobile brick oven bistro based in Boyds, has officially closed its food truck operations. The concept began as a dream of owner Bob McMahon, who wanted to create a small pizza-focused catering business for neighborhood and private events. Commas Food Hall, which opened last month on Level 3 of Ellsworth Place in Silver Spring, will hold a grand opening celebration on Saturday, September 27 from 11am-9pm and Sunday, September 28 from 12-6pm.. The 13,000-square-foot space features 10 food and beverage vendors offering global cuisines, with two stalls still available for future operators.
