The Tipsy Scoop, which serves liquor-infused ice cream flavors that are inspired by classic and contemporary cocktails, is now open at 675 I Street in NW, DC.
“Downtown Brew’s” opened a little over a year ago at 5751 Fishers Lane in Rockville, at the former site of Downtown Beer and Wine. In addition to beer, wine, and coffee, Peruvian cuisine has been added to the menu (photos below).
Signature Dish, a television program on WETA PBS that discovers and reveals the standout dishes at a wide array of the region’s best restaurants, will feature Rockville food truck Fire Pit Brazilian Barbecue and Wheaton’s Kantuta’s Restaurant Bar and Grill on its Monday, March 11, episode.
Paul Kee Restaurant, a Wheaton staple offering Hong Kong and Cantonese cuisine, closed temporarily a couple months back. The restaurant will be returning soon, as “New Paul Kee” will be opening in the space at 11305 Georgia Ave., Suite B.

La Caleta Peruvian Restaurant is coming to 9627 Lost Knife Rd in the Montgomery Village Crossing shopping center in Gaithersburg.
Today’s weather is a reminder that spring is around the corner. Another reminder for many who grew up in MoCo is that March 17th means Jimmie Cone opens for the season. Jimmie Cone has been serving soft serve ice cream and frozen yogurt in Damascus since 1962, which make this year its 62st season. (more…)
