Kustom Pizza & Subs announced that they are fully vegan as of May 18th, 2018.
The sign on the door states that the new owner will continue to sell beer and wine and will switch to Ethiopian food going forward.
As reported earlier today by Source of the Spring, a notice on the door refers customers to their College Park location.
Last February the company announced that they’d be closing 50 stores nationally. At the time, there were 6 MoCo locations. Now there are just three– Kentlands, Germantown, and Rockville.
The food is described as “a fun twist on American.” Take a look below.
They’ve kept some of your favorites like the lamb chops, lollipop chicken, Chef D Platter, saganaki, zucchini fritters, mini gyro, etc. and have added about 10 new dishes for the warmer months.
Not pictured is the ‘Crab n’ Cake’ because I forgot to take a picture of it before we gobbled it down. It was tied with the Lamb Frites as my favorite dishes, but our party enjoyed all of the new flavors.

Taste of Rockville, which opens at noon on Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27, offers a taste of diverse offerings from Amici Miei, Armand’s Pizzeria and Grill, Botanero, Brooklyn’s Deli & Catering, Dawson’s Market, Fresh Baguette, Golden Samovar, Mellow Mushroom, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Pandora Seafood House & Bar, Pinstripes, Saffron Indian Cuisine, Spice Xing and Trapezaria.
Food tickets are $1.25 each, with menu items costing one to five tickets each. Tickets can be purchased at one of three Taste of Rockville ticket booths along East Montgomery and Maryland avenues. Credit cards are accepted. Taste of Rockville is presented by the Rockville Chamber of Commerce and Community Ministries of Rockville.
Silver Spring blogger, @MyLineIsRed (Twitter), stopped in and was able to get some pictures of Buena Vida prior to its opening (full versions of the picture seen below). MyLineIsRed was able to eat at TTT and described the food as being really good, but warned that the restaurant was extremely busy.
Tacos, Tortas, & Tequila offers an “authentic Mexican experience with a modern twist.”
Though it was the first in Montgomery County, it was fifth in the D.C. Metro area, and the 241st in America. A burger, fries, and a drink would go for under .50 cents. The Glenmont location was the second McDonald’s to open in MoCo, opening a few years after the Rockville location. It is currently the only two-story McDonald’s in Montgomery County. The new location will be known as “Quincy’s Uptown” and is currently expected to open this summer, according to a server at their Gaithersburg location (they also have a North Bethesda location– Quincy’s South).
The Damascus restaurant will have a pretty big back patio (pictured below) and rumor has it they will be serving crabs on the patio in the summer!
