The Montgomery County Police Summer Traffic Task Force has conducted over 200 traffic stops and made 33 DUI arrests since launching on May 21, 2025. Maryland’s six casinos generated $176.4 million in gaming revenue in May 2025, a 1.9% increase from the same month last year, marking the state’s seventh-best month on record. Casino contributions to the state totaled $76.1 million, including $54.9 million for the Education Trust Fund, with most individual casinos reporting year-over-year gains.
