Update: All lanes of US-29 (Colesville Rd) between Fenton St and Spring St have reopened. Expect residual delays.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) issued a traffic advisory at 7:08 p.m. following an incident involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Spring Street and Colesville Road. Montgomery County has announced that the Preservation Hall Jazz Band will headline the free Silver Spring Jazz Festival on Saturday, Sept. 6 at Veterans Plaza. Automated Stop Sign Enforcement Pilot Program Community Meeting to Take Place on Thursday, July 31st
The City of Takoma Park is actively pursuing and has recently gained legislative authority to implement an Automated Stop Sign Enforcement Pilot Program, specifically focusing on school zones. The Takoma Park Police Department is inviting the community to join them for a Community Engagement and Informational Session regarding the recently passed Automated Stop Sign Enforcement Bill, which designates Takoma Park as a pilot jurisdiction for this new initiative.
