Antoine Randall, 20, of Boyds, was sentenced to eight years in prison and five years of supervised probation for gross negligent manslaughter and other charges stemming from a 2023 police pursuit in Wheaton that resulted in a fatal crash.

Montgomery County has announced it will temporarily reopen the Wheaton Streetery on Price Avenue to vehicular traffic starting November 25 for winter maintenance, with plans to relaunch the space in late March as a seasonal community area supporting outdoor dining, sustainability, and local businesses. This afternoon, Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) patrol officers operating in the central business district (4th district) responded to a report of shoplifting at the JC Penney store located in Wheaton Mall. Upon arrival, officers encountered an adult male suspected of theft.
