It has been more than three years since we let you know that Sake Japanese Steak House is coming to the former location of Bar Louie at Wheaton Mall (11006 Veirs Mill Rd in Wheaton). The restaurant is now in its soft opening phase and taking reservations.

Montgomery Parks is opening a new mountain biking course, Wheaton Gravity Mountain Bike Park, to draw thrill-seeking riders to Wheaton Regional Park. The grand opening takes place on Sunday, July 21 from 11am until 12pm (Rain date: Sunday, July 28, 2024, 11am- 12pm). The event will take place in the Wheaton Regional Park Shorefield area (2000 Shorefield Road, Wheaton, Md., 20902). The mountain bike park is located in the woods behind the Adventure Playground.
