He ran a Raspberry Pi machine learning setup found from Google’s Teachable Machines website, adapting their Python code to his setup. All made possible by your class — We’re grateful!” — Montgomery County Public School parent feedback

Enclave Coworking

Enclave Coworking will open the company’s newest location, and second in the D.C. area, in Bethesda, Maryland!

The location will open early April at 4933 Auburn in downtown Bethesda, minutes away from Bethesda Row and the Metro.

Enclave offers Bethesda residents the opportunity to work in a professionally designed space close to — but not at — home. Enclave Bethesda features offices for executives, small businesses and others who require a more private environment. A business lounge is open to hybrid employees who simply want to get out of the house for a change of scenery and fewer distractions. Prices start at $120/month for lounge access and $720/month for a private office.

This is the 16th location for Enclave which operates 14 spaces in the Chicago area. Like the Chicago locations, Bethesda members will enjoy phone and meeting rooms, an elevated coworking lounge, high-speed internet, printing, monitor storage, and free coffee, tea, snacks, and soft drinks. For those members who join in March, Enclave is offering one month free for offices and discounted rates for lounge access

Jason Tuscher, an Enclave member, praised Enclave for helping him create some necessary separation between work and home.

“I have a home office, but if I’m in the house, it’s much harder to focus with the kids running around,” Jason said.

Bethesda residents are invited to visit Enclave and sign up for a free 2-week trial!

“We are excited to offer Bethesda professionals a productive workspace close to home. Our tech-enabled space brings office space and a high end business lounge directly to Bethesda residents — no distractions, no commute.” — Jake Ganey, General Manager for the DMV

Both gowns were a custom collaboration, designed by Gucci and Indigenous artist Joe Big Mountain (Mohawk/Cree/Comanche) of Ironhorse Quillwork. The gowns were worn by Gladstone the evening of March 10, 2024, to the 96th Academy Awards and the Vanity Fair Oscars party. Gladstone was the first Native American nominated for best actress for her work in the film Killers of the Flower Moon.

Panda Programmer

As summer approaches, many parents are looking to keep their kids engaged, learning, and having fun.

Summer computer coding camps offer a perfect blend of education and entertainment, equipping kids with valuable skills that will serve them well in the future. A local option that’s gaining popularity is the Panda Programmer coding camp!

Here’s five reasons why sending your child to a coding camp can be a game-changer:

1. Boost Problem-Solving Skills

Coding is all about breaking down a problem and finding the most efficient solution. At coding camps, kids learn how to think critically, troubleshoot issues, and approach challenges in a methodical way. These problem-solving translate to every aspect of life, from schoolwork to everyday decision-making.

2. Prepare for the Future

As technology continues to shape the world, understanding coding and the basics of computer science will only become more important. Sending your child to a coding camp helps them develop foundational skills that will help them throughout their life.

3. Ignite Creativity

Contrary to popular belief, coding isn’t just about math and logic — it’s also a highly creative process. The Panda Programmer curriculum is designed to let kids express themselves creatively while learning a valuable technical skill. It’s a fun, hands-on way to see their ideas come to life.

4. Socialize and Collaborate

While coding might seem like a solo activity, it’s often a collaborative effort. At Panda Programmer coding camps, kids work on projects in teams and collaborate with other students.

5. Have Fun

Coding camps offer a fun, interactive environment for kids to explore their interests and passions. Engaging instructors and hands-on projects make the experience educational and enjoyable. Plus, at Panda Programmer’s summer camp, the fun extends beyond coding. Campers have the option to participate in ukulele classes and chess tournaments and enjoy outdoor time as well.

A computer coding summer camp is more than just a way to keep your kids busy during the summer months — it’s an investment in their future. Computer coding is a skill that will continue to open doors for children in countless ways.
