Takoma Park Police has announced that the Park Police have granted approval to open a section of Sligo Creek Parkway between Maple Avenue and Old Carroll Avenue between 9 am and 2 pm on July 4th. This measure aims to alleviate the traffic slow-downs caused by the City of Takoma Park’s parade blockades.

4:55pm Update: All lanes are open on Quince Orchard Rd (MD 124) at I-270 from earlier traffic incident. Expect residual delays.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) have responded to a crash involving several vehicles on Quince Orchard Rd, in the area of I-270, at approximately 4pm on Tuesday afternoon.
