A vehicle fire is causing traffic delays on northbound I-270 in Montgomery County on Tuesday afternoon, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.

A multi-vehicle crash involving three cars shut down a stretch of Columbia Pike in eastern Montgomery County Sunday evening, sending one adult to the hospital with serious injuries.
Washington Gas will begin resurfacing several Takoma Park streets next week following the completion of recent gas line replacement work, according to an announcement shared by Takoma Park Police. The multi-day project will involve milling and paving across multiple neighborhoods and is expected to cause temporary traffic delays.

Alert Montgomery issued a severe traffic alert Friday afternoon following a major traffic incident that has closed all lanes of I 270 at MD 121 (Clarksburg Road).
Prince George’s County will join Montgomery County in prohibiting parking in bike lanes after the Prince George’s County Council unanimously approved new legislation designed to improve roadway safety. The move comes less than two weeks after the Montgomery County Council enacted its own countywide ban on November 4, 2025.

An 18-wheeler is currently stopped, possibly while attempting to make a U-turn, at southbound Route 355 (Frederick Rd) and Professional Drive in Gaithersburg. Montgomery County Police are on scene.
Vehicles traveling on 355 are being directed to turn right onto Professional Drive and cut through the 7-Eleven parking lot in order to continue along 355. Drivers should expect major delays in the area until the truck is cleared.
