“I think when you want to pursue music or any arts you should always have a backup plan, Business always seems super cool to me… because you can’t really drift away. It’s straightforward; I like that,” he said. Quintanilla plans to use his business degree to secure his finances and to market himself in the music world. Quintanilla may be working towards a business degree, but he has his heart set on becoming a world-famous pop star.
As a full-time student also making time to work and practice music, Quintanilla considerers himself as a busy person. “It’s hard sometimes, you get anxiety, and there’s so much to do. It’s all about time management and priorities,” he said. In high school, Quintanilla used to practice for about six hours a day. Today, it’s closer to one or two hours.

This past weekend, she took the recent high school graduates and their management team (20 in total) out to dinner to celebrate their success. This wasn’t just a regular dinner, as the team dressed up, met at Chick-fil-A, and were picked up by a limo that took them all to dinner at Copper Canyon in the Rio Washingtonian Center.

“Ovi always orders the same thing — Mamma Lucia, which is this pasta dish that’s like chicken parm with noodles, bread, cheese, the kind of thing you want to take a five-hour nap after eating. He makes a big display of it too. There’s no shame. It’ll be eleven in the morning, way before anyone is really thinking about eating lunch, and Ovi will walk into the dining area yelling, “Mamma Lucia! Mamma Lucia!”
David Kottler, who manages the Bethesda location, told me, “We’ve been feeding Ovi for over a decade.” He said, “It used to be about 1/3 of the team, but the Caps ended up getting their own chef over at Kettler. So we were asked if we could do it just for Ovi…and you don’t say no to Ovi.”
