The Montgomery County Planning Department has released the design concepts (available below) for the Damascus Placemaking Festival, a free, two-day community event that will be held on Saturday, October 19 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.and Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The festival will take place along one block of Main Street in Damascus (9801 Main St, Damascus, MD 20872).

Last October we let you know that a 5,600 SF retail building at 26437 Ridge Rd. in Damascus was sold to a partnership headed by Alexandria, VA-based Harmon Capital Group for $1.14 million. The building has been sold again, this time for $1.3 million less than a year later.
