The Maryland SoccerPlex is a 24 field complex in Boyds that welcomes more than 1 million visitors a year. Opened in 2000, the Maryland SoccerPlex was built with a public-private partnership between the Maryland Soccer Foundation and the Maryland National-Capital Park and Planning Commission (MNCPPC). A $2.1 million investment and advancement drainage project for Maryland SoccerPlex’s 20 native soil natural fields was recently completed.

According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, “In the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD, the Honorable Rachel McGuckian has sentenced defendant, Kimberly Tyler, 31, of Germantown, to 30 years in prison suspend all but 25 years to serve and five years of supervised probation upon release. The personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2024’s Most Diverse Cities in America to “identify the places where people have the most unique blend of perspectives, which brings social and economic benefits.” Montgomery County, MD is home to the top three cities (areas) on the list, with Gaithersburg, Silver Spring, and Germantown coming in ranked first, second, and third.
