Washington Spirit breakout star Makenna Morris has been called up to the U.S. Women’s National Team’s 2025 Futures Camp, U.S. Soccer announced today. Morris was born and raised in Germantown, MD and grew up playing for Bethesda Soccer Club.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a fire at a three-story townhouse on Skip Jack Drive in Germantown, on Tuesday, December 31.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire was caused by a space heater placed too close to combustibles or an overheating cord, resulting in approximately $13,000 in damage.
