Montgomery Parks has been awarded a $900,000 grant from the Federal Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) to design the extension of the Magruder Branch Trail into downtown Damascus.

Pumpkin Festival returns to Butler’s Orchard (22222 Davis Mill Road) in Germantown this year from September 21st-November 3. Admission includes access to Pick Your Own Pumpkins, hay rides, tractor pulls, straw mazes, giant slides, and more. The event runs each Wednesday – Friday: 1-6pm and Saturday – Sunday: 9am-6pm. The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has issued a traffic advisory in Germantown for a “traffic collision has Wisteria Drive closed at Misty Meadow Terrace. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route.”
