The Maryland SoccerPlex is a 24 field complex in Boyds that welcomes more than 1 million visitors a year. Opened in 2000, the Maryland SoccerPlex was built with a public-private partnership between the Maryland Soccer Foundation and the Maryland National-Capital Park and Planning Commission (MNCPPC). A $2.1 million investment and advancement drainage project for Maryland SoccerPlex’s 20 native soil natural fields was recently completed.

The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on April 10, 2024 at South Germantown Recreational Park 18041 Central Park Circle, Boyds, MD.

According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, “In the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD, the Honorable Rachel McGuckian has sentenced defendant, Kimberly Tyler, 31, of Germantown, to 30 years in prison suspend all but 25 years to serve and five years of supervised probation upon release.
