Montgomery County’s Department of Environmental Protection is inviting residents to repair, rather than replace, broken household items during a free Fix-It Clinic on Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Gaithersburg Library. A Clarksburg man has been sentenced to 40 months in federal prison for his role in a drug trafficking conspiracy that transported large quantities of cocaine from California to Maryland. U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis sentenced 56-year-old Norville Clarke to 40 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release after he pleaded guilty in March to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. His co-defendant, 39-year-old Daniel Cruz of Los Angeles, is awaiting sentencing. (more…)
