Today, Governor Wes Moore, Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller, Treasurer Dereck Davis, Comptroller Brooke Lierman, House Speaker Adrienne Jones, and Senate President Bill Ferguson released the following statement on Moody’s Credit Rating. Moody’s downgraded Maryland’s bond rating from AAA to Aa1 for the first time since 1973, a move that could increase borrowing costs despite recent state budget reforms and deficit reductions.

Flags for Our Heroes, featuring a giant display of American flags, returns to the lawn at Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm in Gaithersburg on Friday, May 23 through Monday, May 26. A formal opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 24 at 11 a.m. There will be a flag retirement ceremony on Sunday, May 25 at 6:30 p.m.
